SIS mourns Shousha's death

Egypt State information Service (SIS) mourns the death of renowned Egyptian poet Farouk Shousha on Friday 14/10/2016.
SIS hails the great intellectual, cultural and innovative skills of Shousha.
Shousha was born in 1936 in Al Sho'raa village in Damietta governorate. He graduated from Dar Al Ulum faculty in 1956.
Shousha has great contributions to the cultural and poetic life in Egypt and the Arab world by his radio program "Loughatouna El Gamila" (Our beautiful language).
Shousha's ultimate goal was to spread the proper culture through his radio and TV programs "Loughatouna El Gamila" and "Umsiya Thaqafiya" (an evening for culture).
In 1994, Shousha became the Radio's chairman. He was a member of the poetry panel of the Supreme Council of Culture and a member of the Arabic Language Academy.
