Sisi recieves Ethiopian Foreign Minister

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted on Wednesday 19/4/2017 that Egypt's foreign policy is based on balanced relations with all countries, saying that Cairo does not conspire against any country.
During a meeting with Ethiopian Foreign Minister Workneh Gebeyehu, the president called for positive cooperation with Ethiopia on the Renaissance Dam with reaching a consensus on the studies carried out by the companies that implement the project.
Presidential Spokesman Alaa Yousef said the president stressed the importance of cooperation with Ethiopia on the better use of water resources in a way that does not harm any party.
The spokesman said the Ethiopian Foreign Minister handed over Sisi a message from the Ethiopian prime Minister stressing keenness on developing ties with Egypt at all levels.
For his part, the Ethiopian foreign minister stressed that his country won't act against the interests of Egypt.
Addis Ababa takes into consideration the interests of the Egyptian people while making use of Ethiopian resources, Workneh said.
Workneh touched upon points that Egyptians and Ethiopians have in common, atop of which the Nile water.
