EGX benchmark index increases 0.08%

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes slightly increased at the close of Thursday's trading amid purchase operations by foreign investors, while sales prevailed in transactions of Egyptian and Arab investors.

The market capital closed at EGP 663.4 billion, after transactions registered nearly EGP 880 million.

The EGX 30 benchmark index slightly increased by 0.08 percent, hitting 12,905.85 points.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) rose by 0.29 percent, reaching 591 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index was also up by 0.31 percent, recording 1,366.57 points.
