Egyptian-Bahraini military drills concluded on Thursday 20/04/2017. The several-day maneuvers, code-named "Khaled Ibn al-Waleed 2017", were carried out by the Egyptian elite forces units and Bahraini Special Forces in the presence of a number of leaders of the two countries’ armed forces.
The joint military drills included training on countering terrorism, liberating hostages and incursions into different installations using modern vehicles.
They also involved training on the required special skills, demanded by the nature of the forces' missions to reach the targets, as well as evaluating the best ways to release hostages of a hijacked plan.
