Sisi lauds role of army, police in protecting nation, purging Sinai of terrorists

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi hailed on Monday 16/10/2017 efforts exerted by the Armed Forces and police in protecting the nation and civilians as well as purging Sinai of terrorist groups.

This came during a meeting with Prime Minister, ministers of defense, foreign, interior, health, justice, public business sector as well as heads of the intelligence service and the Administrative Control Authority, Presidency Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.

The meeting tackled efforts to confront terrorism in Sinai and preparations to celebrate the establishment of the new Alamin city on the occasion of the 75th Alamin battle anniversary in which the president directed the government to implement the project as scheduled and according to the international standards.

They also reviewed the presidential initiative titled “Future Technology Pioneers” to train youths on the latest technologies in which the president directed to support such initiatives.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister reviewed efforts to remove encroachments on public property as well as measures taken to implement the national plan aiming at delivering natural gas to houses.

The meeting also discussed preparations for the president’s upcoming visit to France as well as the implementation of the joint cooperation projects among Egypt, Cyprus and Greece ahead of the trilateral meeting expected to be held in Nicosia in November.
