Egypt, Slovenia discuss boosting cooperation in upgrading e-services

Planning Minister Hala el Saeed had a meeting with Slovenian Minister of Development, Strategic Projects and Cohesion Alenka Smerkolj and Public Administration Minister Boris Koprivnikar on promoting bilateral cooperation in upgrading e-services.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the sixth edition of the World Government Summit (WGS), currently in session in Dubai.

In a statement on Tuesday 13/2/2018, the Planning Ministry said that Saeed, during the meeting, expressed Egypt’s keenness on benefiting from the Slovenian side’s expertise in shoring up efforts exerted to automate government services within the framework of the memorandum of understanding that was signed between Cairo and Ljubljana in March 2009.

The minister also posted them on the Sustainable Development Strategy (SDS): Egypt Vision 2030, which encompasses the economic, social and environmental dimensions of development.

For his part, the public administration minister of Slovenia reviewed with Saeed his ministry's 2017 achievements in upgrading 250 governmental e-services provided for citizens.
