Petroleum Minister, Canada ambassador mull cooperation

Petroleum Minister Tarek el Mulla met on Sunday 22/4/2018 with Canada's Ambassador in Cairo Jess Dutton on ways to promote cooperation.

The meeting tackled also joint projects and possible Canadian investments in the fields of mineral resources, natural gas and oil, said a press release.

El Mulla hailed as distinguished the economic and political relations between Egypt and Canada.

He said that the Egyptian-Canadian cooperation in the field of petroleum and mineral resources is proceeding well.

There are a number of Canadian companies operating in Egypt and have achieved successes in the fields of research, exploration and production of oil and gas, he added.

The Canadian Ambassador stressed that investors and Canadian companies are keen to invest in Egypt in general and in the petroleum and mining sectors in particular.

He hailed the oil and gas infrastructure in Egypt as well as the measures taken by the Egyptian government to create an attractive climate for investment.
