The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), located in the Giza Pyramids' area, received two artifacts within the Egyptian-Japanese project to move 72 ancient pieces to the museum, Tarek Tawfiq, the museum curator, said on Sunday 22/4/2018.

In statements, he added that the funerary bed and chariot of ancient King Tutankhamun will be exhibited when the museum opens its doors by the end of 2018.

This is considered the fifth chariot and the third funerary bed to be moved to the new museum.

Meanwhile, Hussein Kamal, General Director of Conservation Technical Affairs, said that these two artifacts were the last pieces to be moved within the Egyptian-Japanese project.
