PM probes reform measures to upgrade medical services for needy people


Premier and Housing Minister Moustafa Madboli stressed that the State targets improving services offered to the citizens in the medical domain via adopting reform measures in this sector .

The State aims also at providing ongoing medical training to the medical personnel so as to enhance their regional and international status and improve their image besides reducing the population growth rates which contribute to increasing the country's economic development.

These remarks came during the meeting Madboli held on Monday16/7/2018 with Health and Population Minister Hala Zayed to follow up implementing the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to apply reform measures in the medical sector so as to upgrade the medical services offered to the needy people and make sure that the medicine and medical supplies are available.

The premier noted the importance of forming authorities which were mentioned in the comprehensive health insurance law, pointing out to choosing the best efficiencies in these entities so as to achieve the goals of the medical system in offering best medical care to the citizens.

The health minister reviewed a report on the reform measures of the medical sector targeting upgrading the medical services which will be implemented with a total cost of EGP 18.2 billion.

The reform measures will include ending the waiting lists, eliminating hepatitis C and reducing the population growth rate.
