Sisi condoles with Greek PM over fire victims

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi phoned Thursday Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
Spokesman for the presidency Bassam Rady said Sisi expressed his sincere condolences to Tsipras and the families of the victims of the deadly wildfires that broke out east of the capital Athens earlier this week.
Rady underlined that the Egyptian president asserted that the Egyptian government and people would stand by the side of Greece, announcing Egypt's full solidarity with the Greek people in these painful circumstances.
Sisi also underlined that Cairo is ready to provide all possible support to face this disaster, added the spokesman.
For his part, the Greek prime minister expressed his sincere gratitude to Sisi for this gesture and the generous offer, appreciating the historical friendship between the Egyptian and Greek peoples.
