Six injured in Aswan train derailment discharged from hospital

Six people who were injured in a train derailment in Aswan have been discharged from hospital, said the Health Ministry on Sunday 29/7/2018.
Seventeen ambulances were immediately deployed to the site of the accident where they carried the wounded to Kom Ombo central hospital, the ministry's spokesman Khaled Megahed said.
He said coordination is at the highest level between his ministry and Transport Ministry to follow up the developments of the accident.
He noted that the six people sustained minor wounds.
Following the accident, Transport Minister Hisham Arafat decided to form a technical committee to examine reasons behind the Cairo-Aswan train derailment.
The deputy chairman of the Railway Authority will chair the committee.
