PM issues decision establishing cabinet's media center

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli issued a decision establishing a media center affiliated to the cabinet with its headquarters to be at the Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC).
According to the decision, the new media center will be responsible for several tasks and activities that are meant to achieve effective communication between the government and various media outlets, through making facts clear for the public opinion and refuting rumors related to various issues, a statement released by the cabinet’s media office said on Thursday.
The new body will be assigned also with making the Egyptian citizen better acquainted with the government’s achievements and efforts in all domains.
The media center will consist of four main units including a unit for communicating with media outlets, a radio and television production unit, an electronic and social media unit and another one responsible for monitoring and analyzing various media content.
Under the decision Naayem Saad Zaghloul, the media director at the Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC), will be at the helm of the media center. Prime Minister's Media Advisor Hani Younis will be responsible for the general supervision of the body.
Madbouli pointed out that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued directives to go ahead with making facts clear for the citizens, mainly in light of the rumor wars waged against Egypt.
