SIS: Sisi pays important visit to Uzbekistan today

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will start an important visit to Uzbekistan on Tuesday 4/9/2018.
The visit crowns fruitful joint cooperation that lasted for around 25 years, said the State Information Service (SIS) in a report.
The first Egyptian Embassy was opened in Tashkent in 1993, added the report.
Egypt was the first Arab country to recognize the independence of Uzbekistan after the fall of the former Soviet Union in 1991, according to the report.
Uzbekistan has a remarkable economic reform experience that was initiated by late President Islam Karimov.
Karimov paid two visits to Egypt in 1992 and 2007 during which several cooperation agreements were signed between the two countries in the air transport, economic and investment sectors along with trade exchange, added the report.
The SIS in its report on the visit of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Uzbekistan added that the relationship between the two countries has been so strong since its establishment 25 years ago.
The report cited an example of cultural relations indicating that since 1993 the Egyptian center for education and science is operating in Tashkent.
Also, Egypt is offering scholarships to Uzbek students for studying Arabic in Egyptian universities, added the report.
Also, Egypt participated in several artistic and cultural events in Uzbekistan while Tashkent is taking part in similar events in Egypt, according to the report.
