Petroleum Minister: Egypt to develop oil refineries

Minister of Petroleum Tarek el Molla on Saturday 8/9/2018 said that the ministry is currently speeding up the implementation of an integrated program to develop and upgrade the country's oil refineries.
The program includes new projects and upgrading the existent production units to increase the refineries capacity in order to meet the local needs, the minister said in the general assembly meeting of the Alexandria Mineral Oils Company (AMOC).
During the meeting, Molla said that the future plans of AMOC aims at achieving sustainability by the implementation of new projects in order o increase the produced high-quality oil products.
He added that AMOC and the Egyptian Petrochemical Holding Company (ECHEM) have considered supplying the planned petrochemicals project in Al Alamien with Naphtha.
