Wednesday، 19 September 2018 - 11:55 AM

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli received on Tuesday 18/9/2018 a report from Minister of Environment Yasmin Foad on measures taken so far to confront air pollution in Cairo and the Delta region.
A cabinet statement said the report reflected the positive outcome of efforts exerted in this respect, as the report mentioned the reduction of rice straw fires and the improvement of the air quality.
The report pointed out that the farmers cooperated with the government in collecting the rice straw instead of burning it in fields as the burning process triggers air pollution.
With regard to the environment in industrial cities, the report said anti-pollution teams stepped up inspection operations in factories nation-wide to make sure that they abide by environmental regulations.
