Egypt country of tolerance, culture, coexistence

Minister of Antiquities Khaled el Anani said on Friday that Egypt is a country of tolerance, culture and coexistence, given its antiquities that date back to various eras.
The minister made the remarks as he toured Saint Catherine’s Monastery on the sidelines of the St Catherine’s International Peace Forum that commenced on Thursday.
Anani was accompanied by ambassadors and representatives of some 15 Arab and foreign countries.
The minister briefed the visitors on the contents of Saint Catherine’s Monastery and its symbolic feature.
Earlier in the day, Minister of Awqaf Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa delivered the Friday sermon at the mosque adjacent to the monastery, where an archbishop preached to Christians at the same time. MENA
