Health Minister inspects Regional Center for Blood Translation in Ismailia

Health Minister Hala Zayed inspected on Saturday the Regional Center for Blood Transfusion in order to develop it to be part of the national project of manufacturing blood plasma.
The venture will be implemented in 11 centers nationwide.
Accompanied by Ismailia Governor Hamdi Osman, the minister visited the center where she hailed its infrastructure and made sure that it is fit to be part of the national project.
She further pointed out to the presence of human cadres trained at the highest level.
Zayed gave directives to increase the blood plasma apparatuses as well as the blood drawing chairs and raise the efficiency of a number of departments at the medical facility.
There are 35 medical and laboratory apparatuses in the center which groups 97 staff members including doctors, laboratory technicians, nurses and administrative employees, the minister said.
She also said that the average blood bags collected by the center per month reached 500 ones.
The center groups also 11 apparatuses used in cooling processes such as refrigerators and freezers besides a cooling room to preserve the quality of the blood bags.
