First Assistant of Sudanese President’s visit to Egypt

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed Egypt's full support to Sudan's security and stability, which he described as an integral part of Egypt's national security.
This came during the president's meeting with Mohamed al Hassan al Mirghani, the First Assistant of Sudanese President Omar al Bashir.
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, Head of Egypt's General Intelligence Services Abbas Kamel and the Sudanese ambassador in Cairo attended the meeting.
Sisi welcomed the senior Sudanese official’s visit to Cairo, stressing Egypt's commitment to maintaining constant cooperation with Sudan at all levels, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
The meeting took up means of promoting bilateral relations in all fields, Radi added
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the level of mutual cooperation, which was noticeably reflected in the positive results of the 2nd session of the Egyptian-Sudanese presidential committee that was held in October, the spokesman noted.
They also highlighted the importance of completing an electricity interconnection project and reviewed a number of studies pertaining to joint railway projects and improving river transportation between the two sisterly countries.
For his part, Mirghani conveyed the Sudanese president's greetings to president Sisi, voicing his country's keenness on furthering bilateral cooperation and benefiting from Egypt's leading regional role and inspiring development experiment and economic performance.
