Pompeo visits Cathedral of Nativity of Christ in NAC

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited on Thursday the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in the New Administrative Capital (NAC).

A delegation from the Orthodox Coptic Church led by Bishop Daniel, Bishop of Maadi Churches and Secretary-General of the Holy Synod, received Pompeo and welcomed his visit to the newly built cathedral.

Pompeo expressed his admiration of the cathedral, its colorful coptic icons and general architectural design.

He also praised its establishment in a record time of only two years.

Inaugurated simultaneously with the a newly established mosque in the NAC, the cathedral is a sign of coexistence and love among all Egyptians.

President Abdel Fattah el Sisi inaugurated on Sunday both the El Fattah El Alim Mosque and the Cathedral in a major event that was witnessed by the Palestinian president, Grand Imam of Al Azhar Ahmed el Tayeb, Head if the Opti Orthodox Chuch Pope Tawadros II and delegations from Arab as well as foreign countries.
