Head of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) Mohamed Salah said the Ministry of Environment will implement several projects in 2019, most notably those signed on the sidelines of the Biodiversity Conference, held in Sharm el Sheikh in November 2018.
In an interview with MENA on Saturday, Salah said the projects also include the maps of climate change and agricultural wastes in addition to the completion of the third phase of a project to reduce industrial pollution and develop nature reserves.
The deal signed on the sidelines of the Biodiversity Conference in Sharm el Sheikh with the Foreign Ministry and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will be implemented to merge biodiversity into environmental tourism, he said.
The project will have positive impact with regard to boosting tourism and increasing the country’s nature reserves, he added.
