Immigration Minister Nabila Makram will Friday take part in an official funeral for four Egyptian martyrs who were killed in a terror attack on two mosques in New Zealand last week.
Makram, currently on a visit to New Zealand, will also inquire after a number of Egyptians injured in the same attack.
She is also scheduled to meet with representatives of the Egyptian community there.
"It is sure an exceptional case that won't change the way New Zealand is perceived as a model of diversity, compassion and mercy," Makram said in a statement by the Immigration Ministry in comment on last Friday's horrid mass shooting in the two mosques at the city of Christchurch that left 50 worshipers killed and dozens injured.
Makram arrived in New Zealand in the wee hours of Thursday morning and was received by an official delegation and representatives of the Egyptian community there. (MENA)
