Planning min. to attend session of UN economic commission for Africa

Planning Minister Hala el Saeed is set to participate in the 52nd Session of the UN Economic Commission for Africa and the Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development that will be held at the ministerial level on Monday and Tuesday in Marrakesh.

The conference will be held under the theme “fiscal policy, trade and the private sector in the digital era: a strategy for Africa.”

The African ministers will discuss fiscal policies necessary for the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area within the frameworks of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Africa's Agenda 2063.

They are also set to tackle the private sectors's critical role in the era of digital economy.

The meetings kicked off at the level of experts on Wednesday.
