Sisi witnesses opening of mega national projects in Ismailia, Central Sinai

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi witnessed on Sunday 5/5/2019 the inauguration of mega national projects in Ismailia and central Sinai, topped by tunnels in the Suez Canal and new Ismailia city.

The projects fall within the framework of the all-out state development plan.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli attended the inauguration alongside Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal, Presidential Aide for National and Strategic Projects Sherif Ismail, Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki and Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mameesh.  More

During inauguration a number of such projects in Sinai and Ismailia, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said all national projects in Egypt are being implemented by Egyptian civilian companies. More

Addressing a ceremony for the inauguration of a number of national projects in central Sinai and Ismailia, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said that a plan to develop Sinai and Suez Canal region is part of a comprehensive vision drawn up by the political leadership for sustainable development nationwide till the middle of the century. During his speech at the inauguration of mega national projects in Ismailia and Sinai governorates, Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi stressed that Egypt's hosting the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations is considered a great challenge as it coincides with the country's chairmanship to the African Union (AU).
