The two ministers reviewed the economic reforms implemented by Egypt and the positive outcomes achieved in the Egyptian petroleum sector, which attracted more French investment to the country, the Petroleum Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
During his visit to Paris, Molla hailed the distinguished ties between Egypt and France, underlining his country’s efforts to maximize the economic benefits of the natural gas produced in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
Baptiste said that France and the European Union are looking forward to see the outcome of efforts exerted by Egypt and other countries in energy trading in the Middle East region, stressing the importance of establishing the Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF) in Cairo.
