In July 2019, President Abdel Fatah El Sisi inaugurates 7th National Youth Conference in the New Administrative Capital, under the slogan “Innovate ... Advance”, to exchange views on the most important issues that concern the youth sector and the Egyptian State.

President Sisi held meetings with officials to follow-up government's plans and implementing measures that help control markets and attract investments in order to improve the lives of citizens.

Also, President Sisi chaired the 12th Extraordinary Summit of the African Union, held in Niger, Niamey.

President's meetings with officials

July 2: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi ordered proceeding with the successful implementation of the comprehensive economic reform program in a way that enhances the constant improvement of economic and financial indices. The President made the remarks at a meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait along with Vice Finance Minister for Fiscal Policies Ahmed Kouchouk.

July 4: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued directives to the bodies concerned to exert utmost efforts to make basic commodities available for citizens at affordable prices at various outlets nationwide. The President's remarks came during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Supply Minister Ali el Moselhi, Interior Minister Mohamed Tawfiq and Communications Minister Amr Talaat along with General Intelligence Service Director Abbas Kamel, Chief of the Administrative Control Authority Sherif Seif el Din and Deputy Finance Minister for Fiscal Policies Ahmed Kouchouk.

July 10: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the government to fast-track completion of a plan to upgrade the national electricity system and improve its infrastructure. He also asserted the importance of abiding by the highest international standards and state-of-the-art technologies while executing all power-related projects. The President made his remarks at a meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohammed Shaker and Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait.

July 11: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called for full preparations for the new academic year. Sisi, during his meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and the Higher Education Minister, underlined the importance that university curricula would cope up with requirements of modern age.

July 14: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has ordered to continue developing production sectors, particularly in the fields of industry, exportation and investment. Sisi met with members of the ministerial economic committee in the presence of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt Tarek Amer, Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr, Planning Minister Hala el Saeed, Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, among others.

July 24: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met with Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq.

July 24: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued directives to officials to proceed with work at the New Administrative Capital and other new cities in accordance with the planned timetable. The President made the remarks during his meeting with chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ihab el Far and several directors of the engineering consulting firms working at the new capital.

July 27: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has ordered to adopt scientific methods to qualify and train athletes to compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. He had a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli in the presence of Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi. Sisi stressed that focus should be placed on all aspects related to the sports system, including physical, psychological, nutritional and health factors, along with training.

President Sisi inaugurates 7th National Youth Conference (July 30-31, 2019)

President Abdel Fatah El Sisi inaugurates 7th National Youth Conference in the New Administrative Capital, under the slogan “Innovate ... Advance”, to exchange views on the most important issues that concern the youth sector and the Egyptian State.

The conference serves as a forum that provides an opportunity for promising Egyptian youth to have direct dialogue with the Egyptian State and its various institutions to chart a better future through a national vision, scientific planning and constructive dialogue.

During a speech at the opening session of the 7th National Youth Conference, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi extended his thanks to the Egyptian people in recognition of what they have achieved throughout the past five years. The President hailed the importance of the youth conferences, saying that they give strong impetus and hope for all.

Addressing a simulation model of the Egyptian state at the 7th National Youth Conference, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said the Egyptian people's awareness has encouraged the political leadership to take bold measures for necessary economic reforms.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi witnessed a ceremony of graduating the first batch of African young people who participated in the Presidential Leadership Program (PLP).

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi witnessed a simulation model of the Egyptian state as part of the activities of the seventh National Youth Conference that kicked off at the New Administrative Capital. During the two-day event, young people from the Presidential Leadership Program (PLP) discussed a number of security, political and economic issues, notably the recent economic reforms and mega national projects carried out by the state, as well as the government's tendency to implement the principles of governance and digital transformation.

July 13: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi went on an inspection tour of the Military Academy. The President shared the academy cadets their morning sports activities, underlining the necessity of creating a new generation of commanders and fighters who are equipped with high physical and combat skills.

July 16: President Abdel Fatah El Sisi witnessed the graduation ceremony of the 157th batch of the Armed Forces non-commissioned officers institute.

July 20: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended the graduation ceremony of a new batch of police cadets at the premises of the Police Academy in New Cairo district.

July 22: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi witnessed the graduation ceremony of a new batch of cadets of Egypt's military academies and the Armed Forces Technical Institute at the Military Academy premises.

Official Visits to Egypt

July 18: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Algeria's Interim President Abdelkader Bensalah. During a meeting held at Ittihadiya Palace, President Sisi voiced full confidence in the ability of the Algerian institutions and people to deal with the current challenges without any external interference.

July 29: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Jordanian King Abdullah II at Cairo airport. The two leaders are set to confer on bilateral relations and means of boosting joint cooperation, as well as regional developments. President Sisi and King Abdullah II affirmed the importance of resuming Palestinian-Israeli peace process talks.

President's meetings with foreign officials

July 3: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received US Senator Lindsey Graham in Cairo. During a meeting, President Sisi said the efforts aiming to settle the Palestinian-Israeli conflict must proceed in line with international terms of reference, the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative.

July 3: During a meeting with visiting Jordanian Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed the need for stepping up efforts to bolster economic relations with Jordan, praising historic and deeply-rooted relations between the two countries.

July 10: During a meeting with Tanzanian Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said that Egypt looks forward to working with Tanzania and other African nations in light of the numerous political, security and economic challenges the continent is facing, calling for rallying African efforts within the African Union's mechanisms to face such challenges.

July 15: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Myron Brilliant, executive US vice president and head of International Affairs at the US Chamber of Commerce, in Cairo, and said boosting trade and investment cooperation with the United States would give a push to joint action at all levels, adding that Egypt is looking forward to promoting economic ties with the US in the coming period.

July 17: During a meeting with Sudan’s chief of joint staff Hashim Abdel-Mutteleb Ahmed Babikir, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulated the Sudanese people on the signing of a political deal that includes preparations for the transitional period in the country. The President asserted his confidence in the ability of the Sudanese people and state institutions to restore stability, maintain security and preserve the country’s capabilities.

July 7: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi chaired the 12th Extraordinary Summit of the African Union, held in Niger, Niamey. The summit witnessed the launch of African Continental Free Trade Area after completing the number of the required endorsements.

Phone Calls

July 4: During a phone call, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reiterated to his US counterpart Donald Trump his country’s supporting stance to stability and sovereignty in Libya as well as the choices desired by the Sudanese people. President Sisi reviewed with Trump the regional files of mutual interest, especially the latest developments in Libya
