Fighting terrorism and extremist ideology top G7 summit agenda

Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Rady said that President El Sisi's participation in the G-7 summit gains special importance since it comes in the framework of  one of the most important global gatherings of the developed countries in the world. 

Rady said in televised remarks that the summit will discuss a number of topics of great importance that concern the world, including terrorism and security, combating extremist ideology and how to deal with the training of terrorist elements around the world; known as foreign fighters, especially via the Internet, as the summit will try to find solutions to this matter. 

He pointed out that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has been invited to participate in the summit as the Chairperson of the African Union and as appreciation for Egypt's big role in fighting terrorism and extremism. El Sisi will participate in a main session on combating corruption and facing armed groups and issues related to development in Africa. He will give a speech reflects Africa’s point of view towards the issues under discussion.
