Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr said on Thursday 08/11/2019 Egypt is looking forward to enhancing partnership with the EU in transport, small and medium-sized projects and electricity.

Nasr gave the remarks during a meeting with Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Jürgen Rigterink over increasing projects between Egypt and the bank in the transport and renewable energy fields.

The European official reiterated keenness on backing Egypt's reform efforts, saying the volume of EU investments in Egypt total 5.3 billion euros of which the private sector's share of total investments represents 58 percent.

He said the bank is keen on increasing investments in the African continent through participation in the Africa Forum 2019, to be held at the New Administrative Capital on November 22-23.

He attributed the increase in the bank's investments in Egypt to the economic reforms carried out by the Egyptian government.
