Minister of House of Representatives Affairs Omar Marwan said Egypt has succeeded in reviewing its human rights file before the United Nations Human Rights Council, thanks to the network of international relations it has in this respect under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Addressing a House plenary session here on Sunday 17/11/2019, the minister said the member states were keen on attending the session on Egypt which reflects the country's weight in the international community.
The session witnessed positive interaction by the member countries which proves their acquaintance with the efforts exerted and the achievements reached in protecting human rights in Egypt over the past five years, he said.
Egypt's human rights report showed the state's concern with the international agreements and standards on human rights and awareness of the need to communicate with international human rights to expound the real conditions, he added.
Egypt's delegation was keen to respond to queries by some nations, he said, adding that Egypt received 372 recommendations as part of exchanging advise and expertise among the member states.
