AOI signs cooperation protocol with Kingdom of Lesotho

The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) signed on Thursday 05/12/2019 a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology in Africa's Kingdom of Lesotho.
AOI chairman Abdel Mon’em el Tarras said that the organization offers all its technical and technological potentials and expertise to serve the African continent.
Tarras added that all available capabilities will be provided to support the development projects and meet the needs of Lesotho, lauding efforts for forming an Egyptian alliance grouping the AOI and other national companies along with international bodies to work on transferring Egypt's development experience to all parts of Africa.
The two sides have agreed to cooperate in many fields including new and renewable energy, railways, electronics and LED lamps and communication equipment, he said.
Both sides will participate in implementing infrastructure and digitization projects among others with a technical committee to be formed to consider capabilities and demands and set pit timetables for implementing the projects he added.
Meanwhile, Lesotho's Minister of Communications Thesele Masekibane said that his country is keen to promote cooperation with the AOI, inviting the organization to participate in the development projects in his country.
