Civil aviation minister probes air transport with Georgia

Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar discussed on Tuesday 11/2/2020 with Georgian Ambassador in Cairo Alexander Nalbandov means to update an agreement on air transport between Egypt and Georgia and the possibility of operating direct flights between Cairo and Tbilisi.

 

They also discussed means to activate tourism movement and increase investment chances especially in the air transport domain, said the Ministry of Civil Aviation in a statement Tuesday.

 

Minister Manar praised the level of cooperation between the two countries especially in the fields of investment, trade, industrialization and agriculture.

 

He said that the rise in the volume of investment and trade between Egypt and Georgia will widely contribute to the activation of the aviation movement.

 

For his part, the Georgian envoy hailed cooperation between the two countries in all domains especially in the civil aviation fields, expressing his country's keenness on increasing investment chances in the light of the atmosphere of economic and security stability.

 

Air Cairo operates weekly flights between Tbilisi on one hand and Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh on the other.
