On 17/4/2015: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, during a visit to Prague, met Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka to review Egypt’s latest political and economic accomplishments. Shoukry shed light on the outcome of the Egypt Economic Development Conference, held last month, and the New Suez Canal project, which is about to be completed. The two officials agreed to hold the joint economic committee and exchange high-level visits between the two countries to promote ties in the various domains, the spokesman said.
On 21/6/2014: Czech President Milos Zeman invited President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to visit Prague. A personal envoy by Zeman handed over the invitation to Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry. Shoukry held a meeting with the delegate to discuss bilateral relations. The Egyptian top diplomat asserted Cairo's keenness to push up investments with Prague. The meeting also took up the latest developments in the Middle East and Egypt.
