Alabaster statue for wife of Amenhotep III, unearthed in Luxor
The Ministry of Antiquities announced on Thursday that the European archaeological mission working Luxor governorate had discovered an alabaster statue for Queen Tiye, the wife of Egyptian pharaoh Amenhotep III.

Minister of Antiquities Khalid el Anani said on Thursday 16/03/2017 that the recently unearthed statue in Matariya in east Cairo is belonging to Egyptian Pharaoh Psamtik III, last king (reigned 526–525 bce) of the 26th dynasty.
