CBS News highlights Egypt reopening of ancient "Avenue of Sphinxes" centuries after it hosted parades for gods
As Americans settled down to enjoy the time-honored tradition of the Thanksgiving Day Parade, almost 6,000 miles away, Egypt set out to revive a tradition of its own that likely hadn't been seen in a couple thousand years, CBS News reported.
The Agriculture Ministry said Egypt's agricultural exports hit more than 5.2 million tons in the period from January 2021 to November 24, achieving a rise of 600,000 tons in comparison with the same period last year.
About 200 reporters working for international media outlets accredited in Egypt will be covering the opening ceremony of the Avenue of Sphinxes (Kebash Road) that will be attended by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi Thursday evening.
