Foreign Ministry: Guardian’s fabricated reports on Egypt prove Cairo former stances

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said accusations leveled against the Guardian's reporter of fabricating reports on the situation in Egypt has given a clear-cut evidence of Egypt's former stances regarding the credibility of the paper's reports on the situation in Egypt.
The spokesman's remarks were made at a meeting with diplomatic reporters. Abu Zeid said he appreciates that the paper held the reporter accountable for such misleading information about Egypt. However, the paper should also be responsible for correcting the bad impression and the defamation of Egypt's image which has certainly harmed the whole society.
He concluded his remarks saying that Egypt will continue to follow up any reports released about Egypt in the foreign media and will stand against any fabricated or inaccurate reporting about the homeland.
