Defense Minister Sedki Sobhi on Monday 6/6/2016 reviewed with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi the outcomes of his visit to France during which Egypt received a Mistral-class helicopter carrier.

The defense minister held fruitful talks with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian and exchanged views on the latest regional developments and international anti-terror efforts.

Both sides tackled means of boosting military cooperation, as well as exchanging expertise between the armed forces of the two countries.

During his meeting with Sisi, Sobhi reviewed the latest developments at both security and military levels with regard to anti-terror efforts and securing Egyptian borders.

Meanwhile, the defense minister underlined the importance of continuing bolstering the capabilities of the Armed Forces in face of threats and volatile regional situations.

He further hailed the level of current cooperation with France and necessity of deepening such cooperation in various fields.
