Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received a phone call on Saturday from US Secretary of State John Kerry, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.

The conversation covered the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and efforts exerted to revive the Middle East peace process, Abu Zeid added.

They also discussed the situation in Syria and Libya, the spokesman added.

The two top diplomats agreed on coordinating stances in the coming period on peace efforts.
