Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry  on Friday held a phone call with his US counterpart John Kerry, said Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid.

In the phone call, Shoukry and Kerry discussed means of promoting relations between Egypt and the US. Developments in Palestine, Libya and Syria were also discussed in the phone call, Abu Zeid added.

The two diplomats discussed the consequences of the UK's decision to leave the European Union, the spokesman said.
