Foreign Ministry forms crisis management cell for Egyptians in Turkey

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry established a crisis management cell to help Egyptians in Turkey on the backdrop of an attempted coup there.


Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Hisham el Naqib said Saturday 16/7/2016 he is holding contacts with Egyptian Charge d'Affaires Wael el Naggar in Ankara and Consul Bassam Radi in Istanbul since the outbreak of the Turkish crisis late Friday.


Naqib said the crisis management cell is entrusted to deal with emergency cases and help Egyptians in Turkey.


He added that the Egyptian diplomatic missions in Turkey are following up Egyptian travelers via Turkish airports and so far no problem was reported. He urged Egyptians to be vigilant and cautious.
