Youths and Sports Minister Khaled Abdel Aziz congratulated the Egyptians on Al Ahly basketball team's winning of the 2016 FIBA Africa Champions Cup for men after defeating Angolan Recreativo Desportivo do Libolo team.

He thanked Al Ahly players over winning the championship, adding that Egyptians were in need to enjoy such a victory. 

The minister also thanked the fans who attended the final match and the cup and medals hand-over to Al Ahly team.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Al Ahly Sporting club Mahmoud Taher said that organizing this championship sent a message to the whole world that Egypt welcomes everyone and is able to host any competition.
