Egyptian, Omani FMs hold talks on bilateral ties

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry met on Tuesday 7/3/2017 with his Omani counterpart Yusuf bin Alawi on the sidelines of their participation in the Arab League's ministerial meeting, currently held in Cairo.
The Omani minister said Omani-Egyptian relations represent a cornerstone in the Arab region, in light of the historic and deep ties binding Muscat and Cairo. He also affirmed Oman's full support for Egypt, spokesman for Egypt's Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
Shoukry lauded Egypt's bilateral relations with Oman, expressing in this regard Cairo's keenness on pushing them forward in various domains in a way that would meet the aspirations of the two peoples, said the spokesman.
Meanwhile, Egypt's top diplomat posted bin Alawi on the outcome of his recent visits to Washington and Brussels, particularly with regard to conditions in Yemen, Syria, Palestine and Libya.
