Sisi urges finalizing Suez Canal axis development project

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called on Wednesday 26/4/2017 for finalizing the Suez Canal axis development project as being one of the most important national projects, which is expected to help attract investors and boost Egypt’s status in the world’s navigation movement.
Sisi made the remarks during his participation in the second day of the regular National Youth Conference being held in Ismailia governorate under the rubric "prospects for sustainable development in transport, housing and Suez Canal axis".
As for Suez governorate, president Sisi asserted that a tunnel parallel to Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel is being built and a 2-million-square-meter industrial zone also is being established and equipped with facilities.
With regard to the investment law, the president demanded facilitating investment procedures, which will have a positive impact on the Ain Sokhna area.
Sisi called on Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish to increase the number of fishing boats from 30 to 60 to contribute to providing job openings for young fishermen.
Asked about the Ismailia bridge, Mamish said that new bridge will be inaugurated on August 6.
