President Abdel Fattah Sisi phoned on Friday 26/05/2017 Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese to offer his sincere condolences over the victims of the terrorist attack in Minya governorate.

During the telephone conversation, the president pledged to bring those behind this despicable crime to justice.

President Sisi denounced these vicious acts that target the Egyptians' unity and threaten peace and stability in the country.

For his part, Pope Tawadros voiced confidence in the Egyptian leadership's ability to hunt down the perpetrators of the attack and bring them to justice.

He also underlined that the Egyptians could overcome all challenges and hardships through their unity.
