Trade Minister praises Egypt's participation in BRICS summit

The Egyptian delegation, which will take part in the 9th BRICS summit in China under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, is keen on boosting relations between Egypt and the strong five bloc, the trade and industry minister said.
In a statement on Friday 01/09/2017, Tareq Qabil said the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and the BRICS member states hit nearly 20 billion dollars in 2016.
The summit will focus on deepening cooperation and economic partnership to achieve more development and strengthen global governance to meet challenges, achieve peace and stability and promote intercultural exchange among peoples, Qabil pointed out.
He added that Egypt seeks to strengthen relations with the BRICS member states at the commercial and investment levels.
BRICS is an association of five major emerging national economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
