Sunday، 10 June 2018 - 12:00 PM

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held talks on Saturday 9/6/2018 with Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali on the latest developments of the Renaissance Dam file and they both agreed on adopting a joint vision based on each country’s respect to the development rights of the other and ensuring that this right does not harm the other’s interests.
They also asserted the presence of a joint political and popular will to push forward bilateral relations and cooperation in all fields particularly the political and economic ones, according to Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi.
During the meeting, held at the presidential palace, Sisi expressed to his Ethiopian guest his congratulations on assuming his new post as premier wishing him success in carrying out his duties.
Talks also covered a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The Ethiopian prime minister arrived here earlier in the day on a two-day visit, his first to Egypt since assuming his post in April.
