President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asked the attendees in the inaugural session of the World Youth Forum to observe a minute of silence to mourn the victims of a terror attack in Minya.

Addressing the event, Sisi said "In my name and in the name of the Egyptian people, I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs of the incident and wish recovery to the wounded."

The attack on a bus carrying Copts left seven people dead and seven others injured.
