Armenia signs free trade deal with Egypt

Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan stressed on Thursday that his country will chair the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) this year, in which Yerevan will support signing a free trade agreement between Egypt and Armenia.

Grigoryan made his remarks during a meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister, Moustafa Madboli, and Minister in charge of Trade of the EEC, Veronika Nikishina, in the presence of Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar.

The Armenian deputy prime minister praised distinguished historic and political ties between Egypt and Armenia, hoping that his visit to Cairo will contribute to doubling trade exchange and promoting bilateral relations.

Madboli welcomed Grigoryan and his delegation and hailed Armenia’s effective contributions to the economic and political aspects in Egypt for decades.
