Your Majesties, Excellencies and Highness Kings, Princes and Heads of State and Government of the Arab and European States

Mr. Donald Tusk President of the European Council,

Mr. Ahmed Abul Gheit Secretary-General of the Arab League,

Mr. Jean-Claude Junker President of the European Commission,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Let me extend my sincere thanks to the leaders and peoples of all the participant states in this historic summit that witnessed, throughout the past two days, fruitful discussions and direct constructive communication on a high profile level; the first of its kind in the history of the Arab-European relations.

I am confident that this communication has largely contributed to clarifying the visions and orientations about many issues of mutual concern that deserved a clear showdown in a way that would give a push to the Arab-European relations and allow as to embark on crystallizing a common strategic vision towdards these issues, which have a top priority for our states and peoples in the light of the current complicated challenges on one side and the benefits, potentials and opportunities to enhance cooperation and face these challenges collectively on the other side.

Your Majesties, Excellencies and Highnesses,

It was natural that our viewpoints varified during our first meeting on the summit level concerning some issues in terms of identification of its causes or the optimal method to deal with them.

This was a source of enrichment for the summit’s discussions and cementing the value of dialogue based on the mutual respect and deep belief in the possibility of widening the human commons space and visitas of our cooperation. I have to mention to what I had already stated in the opening session that what connects the two regions over weights what divides it. What we have agreed upon in the last two days was bigger than expectations.

Your Majesties, Excellencies and Highnesses,

I am confident that you agree with me that the success of our summit is not measured only by our in-depth discussions, but by turning this summit to a new drive to deepen the time-honoured cooperation between the Arab and European regions. We have decided to hold the Arab European summit periodically, affirming our determination to complete the march to face the unprededented challenges we are living early the 21st century.

Allow me again to directly address our peoples in the Arab and European regions:“Great peace-loving peoples, we have wrapped up our summit in Sharm El Sheikh; the City of Peace, however success of the Arab-European cooperation hinges on your action yourselves.

It will not be completed without your efforts because you are the first beneficients of our meeting and you are who will reap the fruits of our joint action. I call upon you friendly to exceed any thing that may divide you and adhere to what may unite you so as to take off altogether to a better future for the whole humanity”.

In conclusion, I don’t say good bye, but meet in the coming Arab-European summit if God Willing.
