Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry asserted on Friday 27/09/2019 that achieving development goals is interrelated with bringing about security and stability in Africa.
This came in his speech before a meeting of the African Union Peace and Security Council on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
He stressed that that related UN and regional efforts should be collaborated through the existing partnerships between the international and regional organizations, topped by the UN bodies, AU, and the UN Security Council, said Ahmed Hafez, the foreign ministry's spokesman.
Shoukry cited the Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development, set for Aswan city on December 11-12, hoping it will be a platform for dialogue and interaction between leaders, decision makers and experts from and outside Africa.
