The national handball team on Thursday 16/01/2020 thrashed their Guinean counterpart 39-22 at the Africa Cup of Nations hosted by Tunisia from January 16 till 26.

The Pharaohs, who won six continental titles, were drawn in Group A with DR Congo, Guinea and Kenya.

Egypt will play against Kenya on Friday, while DR Congo will face Guinea.

The title winners will directly qualify for the upcoming 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, while the runners-up will take part in a play-off tournament that also qualifies for the Olympics.
