Medical preparations for 1st Africa's Special Olympics in Cairo

Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine el Kabbaj on Saturday Jan 25,2020 followed up the Egyptian Red Crescent's (ERD) preparations for the Special Olympics Pan African Games being held in Cairo.
The ERD plan, which covers the competitions taking place at Cairo and Air Defense stadiums, includes as many as 100 volunteers specialized in first aid, immediate medical care and psychological support, EDR Executive Director Ramy El-Nazer said in a statement.
These volunteers along with doctors specialized in playground injuries are available at indoor and outdoor courtyards for players' help, Nazer added.
He noted that the ERD is providing its medical services around the clock at its clinics in the hotels hosting the delegations participating in the first ever Special Olympics Pan African Games, which kicked off in Cairo on Thursday.
The event is scheduled to wrap up on January 31.
